Kate's Painting - Abstract Wall Art Canvas Print
A love letter in bold color and almosts.
There’s always that one friend. The one who makes your heart flutter a little. The one you want to impress, connect with, be truly seen by. Kate’s Painting was my not-so-subtle love letter — painted in unapologetically bold, brilliant, look-at-me colors — because I was dreaming of something deeper than surface-level friendship. Something more honest, more intimate, more real.
The two bold half-circles? That’s us — almost touching, almost reaching. One of them offering an olive branch. Both of them hoping for connection, but not quite landing it. It’s about longing, unspoken feelings, and the gorgeous ache of vulnerability.
Spoiler alert: she didn’t like it. Bought something from Etsy instead. (Ouch.)
But here’s the thing — this painting survived my heartbreak, and now it’s stronger for it. She may have passed it up, but maybe that’s because it was meant for you — someone who knows what it means to feel deeply, to risk showing up, and to crave beauty that says something real.
This piece is for the woman who’s done playing small.
It’s for the one who reaches, even when it’s scary.
It’s art that pops, stands alone, and damn well knows its worth.
Inspiration: Letting go, being present, surrendering control, and finding peace in the unknown
