Experiments in Serenity
From the collection Grown, Glorious and Still Growing
We’ve all been there—trying so hard to look calm, cool, and collected while our brain is low-key throwing a mini panic party. Experiments in Serenity captures that exact struggle: the sharp, pokey anxiety (hello, pink and blue turret shells) crashing the soft, pastel dream of peace you’re desperately trying to create.
It’s the soul’s never-ending dance of trying to fake tranquility, only to have stress and tension sneak back in like uninvited guests. The calm cracks, the cycle repeats, and we start over—because, well, that’s real life.
This painting gets the messiness of striving for peace when your mind just won’t quit doubting. It’s messy, it’s edgy, but it’s so, so human.
Inspiration: Anxiety peeking through the cracks, the gap between ideal calm and real stress, and the endless hustle to soothe that restless soul.
